The quality of facial shaving razors has changed over time and with the introduction of new technologies, we always see the introduction of new types of shaving razors. Maybe the shaving razor is the oldest and even the most popular face shaving tool, but it cannot be said that it is the best tool. No matter how good the razor is, it can damage the skin. Perhaps it was in line with this problem that shaving machines were invented. Facial shaving machines are divided into two categories: trimmer and shaver. Trimmers do not have the ability to shave from the bottom, but shavers, which are also called “shavers”, are designed to shave from the bottom.
The first electric shaver was designed and manufactured by Jacob Schick in 1930. The first shavers were designed to shave the face in a dry state; But today there are shaving machines that are resistant to water penetration and can be used in dry and wet conditions. Note that the resistance to water penetration is graded and the manufacturer’s recommendations in this regard should be followed. The lowest level of resistance is related to the shavers whose heads can be taken under the tap and washed. Of course, most of the time, the head of the shaver can be removed, and in such cases, it is better to remove the head from the shaver and wash it. There are some shavers that can be washed under the tap but should not be fully submerged or used while wet. Wet and dry machines, which are known from their names, are made for what purpose. These machines also have a high resistance against water penetration, but it is better not to use them under the shower. The most resistant to water are the shavers that the manufacturer declares to be completely waterproof and can be safely used in the bathroom and even under the shower.
Note that using a wet shaver while connected to the charger is dangerous. For this reason, reputable companies that produce shaving machines put a circuit on their waterproof products that does not work when connected to electricity and the safety of the user is maintained.

Facial shavers are powered by electricity or batteries. Batteries are divided into two types, rechargeable and non-rechargeable. Each of these energy sources has its own advantages and disadvantages. If the shaver works only on electricity, it should always be done near an electrical outlet. Of course, motors that work with direct electricity generally have a high engine speed and cut hair with more power. Most new shavers have rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries increase the price of the shaver, but compared to non-rechargeable batteries that need to be replaced regularly, they have a lower final cost and, of course, pollute the environment less. One thing to pay attention to is the type of battery used in the shaver.
Rechargeable batteries are divided according to the type of electrode and electrolyte. The types of rechargeable batteries that are used in shaving machines are “nickel-cadmium” (NiCd), “nickel metal hydride” (NiMH), “lithium ion” (Li-ion) and “lithium ion polymer” (Li-ion) batteries. polymer) or lithium polymer. The nickel metal hydride battery is similar to the nickel cadmium battery, but its capacity is two to three times higher. These two types of batteries have a “memory effect” and lose some of their capacity if they are not fully discharged before being recharged. These types of batteries have a very low voltage drop when discharging, which is why they are very suitable for use in sensitive electrical appliances such as mobile phones. Lithium ion polymer batteries are the new generation of rechargeable batteries, which are also called lithium polymer. These batteries have the same positive characteristics as lithium-ion batteries, except that they are light and malleable and are very suitable for use in mobile phones.
The charging time of shavers with nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries is more than 8 hours and they charge between 30 and 60 minutes. But shavers with lithium ion (Li-ion) batteries generally take between 1 and 2 hours to fully charge, and then have a charge of about an hour. From here, we can guess that the shavers with lithium-ion batteries have a higher price and the high-end products of the companies have this type of battery. The charging base is the most useful accessory that comes with a shaver. Without a charging base, the adapter must be connected directly to the shaver. There are many types of charging bases and they range from normal bases to bases equipped with a washing system. A number of reputable companies also offer a washstand with their high-end shavers. In addition to charging the battery, this base automatically washes the blades with its washing solution. The presence of a washing base increases the price of the shaver, for this reason, companies generally offer their high-end models in two modes, with and without a base.
Other features such as the screen, the ability to adjust the motor speed, and the type of line are different in different shaving machines, and the presence of each of them increases the price of the shaver. In some shavers, the speed of the motor can be increased or decreased depending on the thickness of the hair, and in others, the shaver itself does this.
